Name: The Magician / Ales Mansay
Series: Rayman
Canon-Point: After his dance number.
History: The Magician... no, Ales Mansay was born quite recently, around 26 years ago, and had a... troubled childhood. Him and his cousin, Andrew, went to different magic schools. While Andrew was popular for his accent, Ales was mocked because he wasn't as magical as his father, or most normal Teensies. He started to feel isolated, and while he did graduate, he grew interested in mechanics and that sort of thing. He was a master of machines and not-so-master of magic! He soon moved to his own home, and inherited the Book of Knowledge. It's around this time he also met Betilla the Fairy, who became his close friend.
Quite soon, she was attacked and drained by Mr. Dark, as The Great Protoon was stolen, and the land fell into chaos. Though his friend was harmed, Ales was so curious about this dark and mysterious man who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He wanted to see him more, and learn more! So he set out from his home... unarmed, unable to take down the monsters himself. But a hero had awoken! The Magician decided to wake him up and explain the situation. Rayman starts to journey, and The Magician follows, giving Rayman the chance to collect both Tings and Extra Lives. However, he started to keep Tings for himself. Tings were money, after all, and money could help with his own problems. He could buy out the bullies!
As Rayman journied, Ales got to know him well. They almost became friends - if he wasn't so untrusting of him, that is. As it stoof, he just saw him as an ally.
Rayman won, and the world was saved. Soon, The Magician was caught in another situation - his Book of Knowledge was stolen by Mr. Dark. The Magician actually got to see him in person, and something happened. He saw the darkness, and he liked it. Something about it lured him in... the mysteriousness, perhaps? He decided to look into the creatures of the world - leaving without a word to anybody. At first he was interested in the Tings, but his attention soon turned to the power of the Lums, other creatures who powered the heart of the world. He started to research the power of these creatures, and started to learn to harness it, to power machines and create life. This is how he would awaken the Bubble Dreamer, and spread the order like Mr. Dark did! He'd soon be him... dark and mysterious.
His work begun, as he started to grow darker. He constructed the Moody Clouds fortress, and orcastrated a grand war between the Livid Dead and Rayman/the Dreamer. He felt almost bad fighting his former best friend. But he couldn't show that - he just decided he'd manipulate him, giving him tips. It was much easier to get somebody else to collect those lums, after all... and having actually protected Rayman, he knew what he wanted. Electoons. The same things he'd indirectly helped him save, he had kidnapped. And he had planned it out perfectly.
But no. He was foiled, just like villians were. Creatures harmed Betilla and her sisters, and Rayman came to the Clouds, thinking it part of his nightmares. And he brought Globox as well. The two stormed his fortress, found him... and then, The Magician tossed away the star on his hat. He'd finally given it up, any illusion of being good, and dropped them to his mechanical friends.
They survived. And so, The Magician fled, after dancing to distract Rayman. But instead of fleeing to the outside, he awoke in the Entralink, hat being held by a certain Togepi...
Personality: The Magician tries to make himself appear more mysterious then he is. Though he is mysterious! From all outside appearances, he doesn't enjoy talking to people if he doesn't need to, if they don't have things to discuss. After all, he tends to stay in his hat, perhaps with a sign outside asking for Tings, or perhaps repeating what he's been instructed to, to assist those around him. He's just like this due to being bullied - people are more often cruel then not.
He also seems kind and glad to help, but this isn't quite the truth. Sure, he does have a kind heart, but he's a greedy bugger. He'll help, but only if it'll assist him or if he'll get paid. And if it doesn't, well... bye. Back into the hat. His heart is also easily swayed by the darkness, because that darkness is what he couldn't do in the light.
Unlike most of the residents of his world, The Magician is quite smart. He also snarks sometimes, when he's asked to give basic advice, and is also sarcastic sometimes. He'll still give the advice, though, for those who assist him. However, he knows how to cheat people, and how to scheme. For example, he knew Rayman loved dance, and fooled him to try and escape. That doesn't work though, but still. (He is a hella good dancer, by the way, and can be showy if he feels like it.)
His mind, his smart mind, does work differently to a normal Teensie. Teensies are normally good with magic, see. But The Magician is much better at mechanics and that sort of thing. Which is odd.
Powers: Firstly, he's remaining Teensie.
His power is basically his hammerspace being back. He can hide in his hat, and his Pokemon can stay in there like it's his PC.
Starter Pokemon: Togepi... Rayman the Togepi.

First-Person Sample:
Hello? Yes, hello, hello. Right here, I'm holding a Togepi - a rare Pokemon! And it can be yours, for only 100 Lums! I'm sure there's some around here... this is a great deal! Pokemon like this would go for 1000, normally! Maybe even 2000! But if you buy him as soon as possible, you can get him for only 100! And I'll toss in this Poliwag, too!
...No, I'll sell them for 50! 50 Lums! Today only! Actually, this offer is open for as long as possible. I'd rather a nicer starter.
Third-Person Sample:
The last thing The Magician remembered was the feeling of dread, the sounds of his fortress, the smell of that awful Rayman. Well, more the smell of his best friend. Did he even shower? The Magician had no time for those thoughts, as he reached for his flying machine...
Wait. It wasn't there. And wait a second... he was on the calm grass, the grass below? He gave a quick look around - yes, it was rather nice. He gave a calm sigh... until...
SLAP!
He was suddenly hit from behind. Ouch! He turned, to see the oddest thing. It looked like... a creature in an egg? A strange yellow thing. And it had his hat on it's head!
"Give that back, you... nightmare!" The Magician said, his face suddenly turning harsh. But the creature shook it's head.
And when it spoke, The Magician recoiled once more. "I'm not giving this back until you tell me what's going on!"
That voice.
That was... Rayman. Rayman was this thing? He couldn't help but start to chuckle. The hero of the Glade... turned into this thing? The smile was wiped off his face when he was hit again, and knocked to the ground."Okay, I'll speak!" The Magician said, his smile being quite sly. It was time to lie, of course, and tell him something else. Rayman wouldn't understand if he told him the truth, that he was trying to help. He was... rather silly.
